I can help writers at any point in the process — brainstorming, outlining, drafting, revising, proofreading.
What have I worked on? Everything! Web sites. Email funnels. Landing pages. White papers. Technical guides. Battle cards. Sales decks. Case studies. Videos. Essays. Scripts. Poems. Fiction. Academic writing. Memoirs. Resumes. Cover letters. Capstone Projects. Presentations. College application essays. Grad school personal statements. GRE and GMAT prep (verbal only!). Lab reports. Business cases. Reflection papers. Basically, try me!
You could simply hire me to proofread your writing when you have a complete draft. I proofread and check for style. I’m fluent in APA or MLA, and have done some CMS.
Or, maybe you want me to be more of a coach. Typically, a student sends me what she’s been working on at a given point in the writing process. I then take 24 hours to respond back with tracked comments in text. My goal here is not to edit so much as be another set of eyes on the paper. I ask questions that prompt the student to write more, expand ideas, and think deeper. After that, we can schedule a follow up phone conversation if needed.
We could, alternately, set up a phone time to read over the paper together (that goes slower).
This one involves us setting up target deadlines, so I can create some accountability for you. If you don’t meet the deadline, it isn’t the end of the world. But, we can schedule a meeting if you are struggling, and I can try and coach you over the hump.
Finally, there’s a more hands-on version where I act more as an editor. You would submit your paper to me, but I would actually make changes as needed. This is most often needed by students for whom English is a second language. Let me be clear, though, one of my research interests is plagiarism — so do not confuse me with a paper mill!
